Who We Are

PsiMac is an Apple technology consultancy based in Norwalk, Connecticut. Since 2004, we have been supporting the small businesses and homes of Fairfield County. As an efficient and enthusiastic team of three, we genuinely care about our clientele and enjoy helping people use technology in creative and intelligent ways. We’re also a bit psychic in how we provide support – intuition honed over decades of being hilariously intense, passionately focused, and carefully consistent in our application of knowledge and show of support to all users – novices and experts alike.

Who We Are Seeking

We’re looking to hire another full-time technology professional to help us meet the growing desire for our services and the needs of our clients. We expect a strong work ethic. We actively encourage a healthy work-life balance with clear boundaries when the workday is finished. We have an excellent reputation for customer satisfaction, and we're great at what we do, so the individual we hire must be exceptional as well.

Local applicants are preferred, and we are considering highly qualified remote candidates as well.

Qualifications

  • excellent interpersonal, communication, and social skills

  • service-oriented, professional, and personable

  • genuine interest in technology, especially Apple

  • Mac enthusiast; at least two years Apple consulting required

  • Apple Certified Support Professional certification preferred

  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) experience preferred, e.g. Jamf, Addigy, etc.

  • general knowledge of Microsoft 365, Office, Google Workspace; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro preferred

  • experience with network installation and troubleshooting preferred

  • Synology server installation and management preferred

Qualities Desired

You love helping people and being in service. You are conscientious, caring, and have a strong work ethic. You’re a clear communicator. You are tenacious, and enjoy investigating and resolving complex and stubborn issues. You enjoy working closely with colleagues to troubleshoot and brainstorm, and learn from the experience.

You can engage with the colorful personalities of our clients and meet their high expectations. You realize that tech support involves supporting people too, and are comfortable maintaining a rapport with the clientele you're serving.

You are technically skilled, intelligent, resourceful, and professional. You may have been called a Genius, Geek, or Wizard, and you’ve smiled in agreement. You have a sense of humor. You desire to develop and grow your technical skills and you’re willing to learn. You genuinely enjoy working with technology and people.

Compensation

This is a full-time salaried position and starts at $50,000 to $60,000 based on experience and qualifications.

Quarterly bonuses are paid based on performance metrics.

Health insurance benefits and paid time off are also provided.
