Backblaze backs up your data automatically throughout the day, making versioned backups that let you restore earlier versions of a file. Those backups can be a lifesaver if your document becomes corrupted, allowing you to revert back to a prior version of a file.
And it’s reasonably priced at $9/month per Mac.
Am I already backed up?
iCloud Backup is a great feature to keep the important data on your iPhone and iPad backed up to iCloud automatically. However, iCloud Backup does not support the Mac. And remember that while cloud services keep your data synced across devices, syncing is not the same as backup.
Time Machine is the Mac’s built-in backup method and requires connecting an external hard drive as the backup destination. This may be a viable method of backing up desktop Macs.
Backup Power

If your home is protected by a generator, it’s still important to protect your sensitive electronics – especially network equipment, Macs, servers, etc. from even brief power interruptions before the generator starts supplying power. The battery backup needs to be specifically generator-compatible, otherwise it will run down the battery during an outage when the generator is providing power. We've found this is the best performing and least expensive generator-compatible model.
Note: it has a loud fan (because it's “double-conversion” so it's always running from battery to provide constant smooth power) – so it's not great in some home or office settings. It would be appropriate in a basement or network closet.
Backup Internet
We’ve installed backup internet solutions to keep our clients online even when their primary internet connection goes down.
These methods include Cellular LTE backup, or Starlink for satellite internet coverage which works even when the local cellular network is down.
