Thanks Joe for all your help. Having you to consult with makes me think of how those who go to shrinks feel comforted in knowing that if the going gets rough they can always call their 'therapist'.

It’s in Apple’s DNA that technology alone is not enough. That it’s technology married with liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields us the result that makes our hearts sing.

Happy Summer Solstice

Today, on the first day of summer – the longest day of the year – I started the day hosting a new podcast at PsiMac, helped a client buy a new iMac, and then met with clients in Darien, Riverside, Greenwich, New Canaan, and Bethel, offering the following types of consultations:

  • Freeing up space on a MacBook Pro, and deciding to upgrade the hard drive
  • Freeing up space on a Time Capsule, ensuring that four Macs could back up
  • Resolving AirPlay failing to stream through an AirPort Express into a multi-room home stereo from an iPad
  • Troubleshooting file corruption in a slideshow project, restoring it from a Time Machine backup
  • Replacing a failed internal hard drive in a Mac Pro, and restoring data from an up-to-date clone of the drive

I ended the day writing about it in this entry for PsiTimes.

Happy summer!
